Yes. Items can be borrowed from Kirklees and Calderdale Public Libraries and the University Library.
All members of Kirklees Libraries may borrow up to 10 books free of charge.

The University runs a low-cost public membership scheme, allowing anyone to borrow items for a yearly fee.
Yes- for the public libraries and university.
Some of our libraries have only limited study space and may be very busy at certain periods of the week. By phoning beforehand, the librarian can ascertain whether they are best placed to answer your query and can arrange an appointment time when they know staff will be on hand to help.
Some of our member libraries allow access to PCs and the internet. Kirklees and Calderdale Public libraries allow PC access in all branches (but may require booking ahead), Calderdale College allows access to learning zone computers with a small charge, and the University of Huddersfield allows access to PCs and a wide range of subscription databases (for a full list of databases click here) when you register with two forms of identification.
